Baggage claim and customs at Pittsburgh International Airport
Domestic bags are collected from the carousels on the Ground Level of the Landside Terminal, next to every onward transport option — ride share at door 7, buses at door 9, taxis and rental cars a short walk away. International flights clear passport control before baggage claim, then customs.

Where baggage is collected
- Domestic flights — claim carousels on the Ground Level; screens above each carousel show your flight number.
- International flights — deplane at Concourse C, follow the signs through passport control, then collect bags and clear customs before entering the general arrivals hall.
- After claiming, follow signs to door 7 (ride share), door 9 (buses and coaches), the taxi rank, or the covered walkway to the rental-car counters in the Terminal Garage.
- Personal pick-up — drivers wait in the Free Wait Lot until you call from the curb; pickups happen at the Ground Level.
Arrival procedure
- Follow signs for Baggage Claim from your gate (international flights pass through passport control first).
- Match your flight on the carousel screens; free baggage carts are available landside.
- Clear customs if arriving from abroad, then exit into the arrivals hall for transport.
- Meet your driver at door 7 or have them wait in the Free Wait Lot until you are ready at the curb.
When baggage goes missing
- Report missing or damaged bags to your airline’s desk in the arrivals hall before leaving the terminal — you will need your bag receipt and boarding pass.
- Keep the claim tag the airline attached to your boarding pass; it carries the tracking number.
- For items left behind in security or elsewhere in the building, contact the airport’s Lost and Found (information desk, until 9:30 p.m.).
- A battery-powered luggage tracker can help you follow your bag while it is loaded.
Baggage claim sits directly below the departures hall in the new Landside Terminal — if you are picking someone up, call from the Free Wait Lot rather than circling the curb.
