Terminals at Pittsburgh International Airport
Pittsburgh International Airport is one complex with two buildings: the Landside Terminal for check-in, baggage claim and security, and the Airside Terminal — an X-shaped building holding all 61 gates across four concourses. The two are joined by the Skybridge, which replaced the airport’s famous underground people mover in 2025.
Terminal areas
The Landside Terminal handles everything before security; every gate sits in the Airside Terminal beyond the Skybridge:
- Landside Terminal — the new 2025 building: ticketing, security, baggage claim, ground transport and the Skybridge.
- Concourse A — 23 gates in the north-west arm of the X.
- Concourse B — 25 gates, the largest concourse.
- Concourse C — 6 gates, home of international arrivals, The Club lounge and the free military lounge.
Concourse D and connections
Concourse D adds 7 gates in the south-west arm. Two further pages cover movement through the airport:
- Terminals overview with gate counts for all four concourses.
- Connecting flights — the Skybridge walk, concourse-to-concourse transfers and international arrival processing at Concourse C.
Getting around
- By Skybridge — after security, the Skybridge and tunnel link the Landside Terminal to the airside core in a single walk; no train is required.
- On foot — the X layout was designed so the farthest pair of gates is roughly a 15-minute walk.
- Curbside — departing passengers are dropped off on the upper roadway; arrivals, ride share, buses and the transit ticket machine are all on the Ground Level (doors 7–9).
The new Landside Terminal opened on 18 November 2025 — follow the signage, as some walkways and former people-mover areas changed with the opening. Confirm your airline’s counter and gate on the day of travel.
